A modern voyeur

Was talking with two friends, male friends. Comfortably seated at a restaurant table, surrounded by lots of people, waiters running, cars speeding in the streets, rumors coming from everywhere. Our discussion was beating about relationship: between men and women, men and men (none of my two friends was gay, but some other friends are), friendship and exes. So what? The situation was hilarious. We were chatting nonstop for about three hours, skipping from a subject to another very quickly… ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends, feelings and affections, sex, jobs, holidays, projects. For friends who know each other since a long time, it’s a pleasure. Maybe it isn’t for anyone else. Like people who were sitting close to our table. Instead… I noticed that everyone was interested in our conversation. And everyone for a little bit of their time gave ear to us. Such a strange thing? Don’t think so. It’s quite usual to try to understand what others are doing in their lives, during the day (just see what happens every minute on facebook or twitter), to resolve a problem, to share an experience. We all are voyeurs, aren’t we?
